First Phase of Transformative Development is Now Open

Simon is excited to transform Northgate Station into a world-class, mixed-use, transit-orientated development, designed to better meet the shopping, dining, entertainment and lifestyle needs of customers, the City of Seattle and the broader Northgate community. This is a multi-year transformation that will evolve Northgate Station as the continuing heart of the community where it has been since the 1950's, while creating a mixed-use experience that is sustainable and will thrive through the 21st Century and beyond.

Northgate Station is proud to be the home of Kraken Community Iceplex and NHL offices, which is now open. Kraken Community Iceplex is a partnership between the Seattle Kraken and Starbucks who together plan on strengthening the community and advancing inclusion and equity in Seattle. This development will serve as the hockey hub of the Pacific Northwest, and includes three NHL regulation ice rinks, one dedicated for the Kraken team practices, complete with spectator viewing locations and stands. The remaining ice rinks are dedicated for community leagues, competitions, and skating of all kind. This is the first public community center for ice sports within Seattle city limits in decades.

Northgate's world-class transformation is also envisioned to include:

• Over 900,000 sf of class A office space

• Up to 1,200 residential units

• Local and specialty retail and dining destinations added to already robust retailers that will stay at Northgate

• Offices for NHL Seattle hockey operations and administrative staff

• A commitment to build the most environmentally sustainable practice facility in the NHL using structural wood products indigenous to the Pacific Northwest

• Partner space for on-site activation, ice sports rental, retail shop, locker rooms and hospitality areas
